HANDBOOK/POLICY CHANGES FOR 2007-2008

· Attendance (p. 7)

o 3A. Students will have to submit a doctor’s note for any absence after 6 in one semester. Failure to produce a doctor’s note after 6 will result in an unexcused absence. This policy is for attendance coding purposes and is not to be confused with the 10 day unexcused policy for figuring semester grades.

· Tardiness to Class (p. 9)

o Social Probation may be imposed in cases of excessive tardies. Social probation prevents students from attending events outside of regular school hours.

· Dress Standards (p. 12-13)

o The dress code has been defined and consequences for violating the code are now stated.

· Hall Passes (p. 14)

o Students allowed out of the classroom without a pass will be escorted back to class to retrieve a pass.

· Parking (p. 16)

o Sophomores and Juniors must average 93% attendance in order to obtain and maintain a parking permit during their junior and senior years, respectively.
